U.S. 19 from S.R. 580 to C.R. 95

Project Description

The project consists of removing the traffic signals on U.S. 19 at Republic Drive and Curlew Road. The signal at Curlew Road will be replaced with a new interchange.

The elimination of the signals in this project will result in uninterrupted traffic flow from 49th Street to Tampa Road in Pinellas County.

Motorists will still be able to have easy access to local businesses with the addition of frontage roads next to U.S. 19. An additional overpass which provides for U-turn movements on the frontage roads between S.R. 580 and Curlew Road will be provided near Northside Drive. Thru movements will be provided for northbound and southbound travel along the frontage roads across Curlew Road.
